Updates on the 7th Dec meet up

The transition…
From 4 to 12…
From Hero’s & Towers to Hohner’s & Suzuki’s…

We are seeing the transition, starters, amateurs, learners & then of course one Master to lead…

The second meet up saw a turnout of 11 members, all enthused about the instrument with the eagerness to share and learn.

Mr.Chandrashekar Khare, one of the finest players, also associated with the Gujarat Harmonica Club, played “Aaja Rapat Jaiyo ….”, and some more Hindi songs on his Hohner. Everybody present there was just thrilled to listen, and the only expression seen coming out of everybody was a biiiiiiiiggggg, “WOW……”.

An overview on techniques of playing Harmonica was given by Mr.Khare, single note playing, the tonguing techniques, playing chords along with the tunes; of course it was a good learning session for all those present. The group is thrilled to have Mr.Khare and expect to learn the nuances of playing the Harmonica.

We also had the solo performance by each of the members present, Vinodji, Deep Moni, Sudheendra, Saajan, Viru, Rohith, Kapilesh, Avinash, Vineet, and Shobith….

Thanks to the Tatti family for being active audience during the entire session.

And thanks to Mr.Tapan Bhatt, who ignited the spark and best of all, introduced Mr.Khare to the club.

The meet concluded with the group playing the Harmonica Anthem.

The next meet up is on 21st Dec, at Cubbon Park (at the lawn, behind the Library), at 10 am.

Mr.Ramakrishna Sabnavees, from the Hyderabad Harmonica Club, would be attending this meetup since he would be in Bangalore during that time

Lets catch up on 21st Dec 08 then....
